Diabetes can be classified into three types in general terms Type1, 2 and 3. The first type of diabetes Type 1 also referred to ‘adolescent diabetes’ can be differentiated from the second type due to the fact that the production of insulin within the body almost stops. This type of diabetes is commonly noticed in senior adults when the insulin production in their body stops or their body stops responding to the insulin present within.

Regardless of its type, a true fact is that if you happen to attain this disease, you would not be able to consume much sugar, due to the increased sugar levels in the body which is bound to obstruct the sugar transportation into the cells and out of the blood stream. You can consider some options which might help you in controlling these levels, which include exercises, medication and diets.

Overall, exercises form the most important for maintaining diabetes for both the types. Regular exercises help in maintaining the insulin sensitivity and prevent formation of extra weight and even help in increasing glucose utilization by the body muscles, for the people affected by Type 1 diabetes. Though it is not possible to restrict this type of diabetes, but there are ways which can be implemented to control it to move to the second level.

You can consider consuming herbs and vitamins along with the exercises, which will help in preventing your body to resist the insulin and also help in maintaining your weight.

These exercises are not only beneficial to maintain diabetes by lowering sugar levels and maintaining insulin resistance, but also help in minimizing a lot of other problems which might affect the individual suffering from diabetes. A simple way of preventing Type 2 diabetes is walking for at least half an hour daily and a lot of researches have been reported verifying this action.

Almost all diabetics tend to develop circulatory and exercise can help lower blood pressure and improve circulation throughout the body.  Seeing as how people with diabetes tend to have poor blood flow to their lower areas and feet, better circulation is a great benefit.

At times, there may even be some side effects of the exercises but the benefits attached are greater in the long run. It is a recognized fact that exercises reduce the levels of blood sugar, so it is always suggested to keep a track of the levels prior to and after exercises. As the body consumes more sugar while exercising, it may be possible at times that the level goes real down, causing another problem of low blood sugar and is termed as ‘hypoglycemia’.

While exercising, always inform the people around you about your diabetes. Let them know the course of action to be followed in case of low blood sugar. To ensure your safety consider carrying some fruit juice or candies along with you for such situations.

The low sugar levels can also be determined based on factors like rapid heart beat, excessive sweating, sense of weakness or hunger, etc. So always analyze your condition after exercises.

The exercises are very vital in ensuring the treatment and management of diabetes. These also assist in enhancing insulin resistance and maintaining the sugar levels, when the glucose is used by the muscles. Apart from these, exercises are great for preventing other related problems like high blood pressure, circulatory deficiencies and heart diseases.

You should make sure that you exercise everyday if you are affected by diabetes. Be slow and do not over-exert yourself. Always exercise in presence of other people whom you know or at a gymnasium to handle unforeseen situations. Your life and performance are no ways restricted because of diabetes, just make sure that you exercise regularly and you can live a normal and a healthy life.
